The Flex Program
At Destinations Career Academy of Wisconsin (DCAWI), we know every student learns differently, and families have busy, unique schedules. That’s why DCAWI’s schedule offers the flexibility that all our students need from day one.
All courses offer synchronous instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays, coupled with three days of individualized supports as needed and assignments that take students from practice to mastery. This not only builds independence and ownership of learning, but it also helps our students and families participate in work-based learning opportunities, gives them time to receive the support they need to be successful, and allows them to schedule appointments without missing consecutive school days of instruction.
DCAWI’s education model makes it easy for students to optimize their learning time and schedule, while still providing high-quality instruction, deeper learning experiences, and opportunities to build their postsecondary plans.
Student Schedules
Our school strives to provide students with schedules that can be tailored to their needs and goals. We do so through clear communication and offering supportive courses, as well as providing coursework which responds to student choice. Student schedules are driven by each student’s Personalized Learning Plan and include academic learning experiences and graduation planning.
