Destinations Career Academy is excited to announce our Students of the Month for May, chosen  by our dedicated school administration and teachers. These exceptional individuals have  demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, made positive contributions to their  educational pathways, and shown a strong commitment to their education. 

Agriculture & Natural Resources: Rose Le Grand 

We’re excited to celebrate Rose Le Grand as our May Agriculture & Natural Resource Student of  the Month! Rose is a graduating senior who has shown amazing determination and heart during  her time at DCA. She has worked hard to balance school and a job. Rose is not only a  hardworking student, but also a genuinely kind and thoughtful person who uplifts those around  her. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and wish her nothing but the best in her  future endeavors! Your DCA family will be cheering you on, Rose! 

Business Management & Administration: Heath Sullivan 

Congratulations to Heath Sullivan, our Business Management and Administration Student of the  Month for May! Heath has shown significant growth throughout his high school career. He  consistently advocates for himself, demonstrating increasing confidence, maturity, and initiative. 

Heath takes pride in his coursework, showing dedication and a strong work ethic across  academic areas. Outside of school, Heath holds a part-time job, balancing work responsibilities  with his education—a reflection of his time management skills and determination. He also cares  deeply for his family, often taking on responsibilities at home and demonstrating empathy,  reliability, and a strong sense of duty. Through both school and work life, Heath continues to  enhance his interpersonal skills, showcasing a positive attitude, compassion, and a strong  commitment to being successful. 

Construction & Engineering: Autumn Brainerd 

This month the Construction and Engineering pathway would like to nominate Autumn Brainerd.  Autumn is someone everyone knows if they attend our Homeroom classes regularly. She’s  always one of the first to participate in conversations and games. Autumn demonstrates great  effort with her school work. Another thing we love about her is her willingness to go on camera  and show us her pet birds and educate us on all the different kinds she has. She’s never afraid to  speak up in class, and we appreciate having her in class every day!  

Health Sciences: Damien Bretz 

Damien is a student who brings much enthusiasm and an upbeat personality to class! Damien has  a great sense of humor, positive energy, and has a collaborative spirit that brightens the  classroom and lifts those around them, especially during an 8am class! Thank you for helping  make learning fun & engaging for everyone! It is a pleasure to have such an uplifting presence in  class.  

Information Technology: Lucy D. 

We are excited to recognize Lucy as our IT Pathway Student of the Month! Lucy brings a  consistently positive attitude to every project and class discussion, showing enthusiasm and  curiosity for all things tech. She actively participates in coding sessions, group work, and  troubleshooting challenges, always striving to deepen her understanding of the field. Her  determination to do her best is evident in the quality of her work, whether she’s developing a  website, debugging code, or collaborating on tech-based solutions. Lucy sets a strong example of  what it means to be a dedicated and engaged student in the IT pathway. Great job, Lucy! 

Law and Criminal Justice: Pierson Hupp 

Pierson has shown outstanding academic success and engagement in school. Pierson’s  communication skills especially stand out. He is a reflective learner who is able to examine and  articulate his learning and in offering feedback on assignments and classes. Pierson collaborated  on re-designing a project for the Careers in Criminal Justice class so that it has a clearer real world connection. In all of his communications, he is direct, specific, and well-reasoned. He has  been a standout student throughout this school year, consistently exceeding expectations and  creating exemplary work.We congratulate all our May Students of the Month for their outstanding achievements! Their  dedication, hard work, and positive contributions to our school community exemplify the bright  future ahead of them.
