student of the month

Destinations Career Academy is thrilled to announce our December Students of the Month, selected by our dedicated school administration and teachers. These exceptional individuals have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, positive contributions to their pathways, and a strong commitment to their education.

Agriculture & Natural Resources: Kimberly Kraemer

Kimberly has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic and personal qualities, earning her recognition as December’s Student of the Month for the Agriculture Pathway. Kimberly has maintained good grades in all subjects, showcasing a strong commitment to her studies. She is an active participant in class; contributing to discussions with insightful ideas and questions that enhance the learning environment for everyone. Kimberly is respectful and kind to peers and teachers alike, creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom. Kimberly is also going above and beyond to pursue her interests and be involved in the school community. She is active in clubs and is further enriching their learning by taking a short course.  Congrats

Kimberly!

Business Management & Administration: Payton Jansky

Congratulations to Payton Jansky the Business Pathway Student of the Month for December! Payton’s business teachers greatly appreciate his hard work and dedication in his Accounting and Business & Marketing Exploration classes. His work consistently reflects his commitment to excellence. In addition to his studies, Payton balances his responsibilities with his first job at Culver’s. Another teacher remarked that Payton is always a pleasure to work with and treats others with kindness. He actively participates in conversations and is open to feedback, consistently pushing himself to go the extra mile. Way to go, Payton! We’re thrilled you chose the Business Management & Administration pathway.

Construction & Engineering: Devon Nygren

Devon is also the overall student of the month from all pathways!

Congratulations to Devon Nygren for being selected as the December Student of the Month for Construction and Engineering Pathway! Devon is doing well in all of his classes, demonstrating a positive attitude and doing all the things he needs to graduate. He has been an active participant in discussions and class activities, consistently contributing his ideas and insights! He does a great job of working with his peers as well. Way to go, Devon!  Keep up the great work!

Health Sciences: Piper Ehlinger

Piper is truly dedicated to her studies. Due to her dedication, she will be graduating early as an early graduation junior. Piper consistently attends her classes, participates in classroom discussions, and stays on top of her schoolwork. Besides being a hard-working health sciences student, she also is a member of HOSA – Future Health Professionals. Her passion for health sciences will bring her far!

Information Technology: Nathan Lee

Congratulations to Nathan Lee, our IT Student of the Month! Nathan exemplifies leadership in the classroom, consistently going above and beyond with his assignments. His insightful contributions elevate the learning environment for everyone, fostering collaboration and excellence among his peers.

Nathan’s positive attitude and dedication truly demonstrate what it means to be a DCA student. We are confident he will continue to achieve great things for our school and community. Way to go, Nathan—keep up the amazing work!

Law and Criminal Justice: Fiona Ziaya

Fiona goes above and beyond on assignments.  She contributes to the overall helpful and fun environment in English class (for example:  she shared a video of when she got her wisdom teeth pulled, and she was soooooooo “out of it” afterward- it was HILARIOUS). Fiona also expresses a strong interest in her pursuit of a higher-education degree and the education field!  Fiona also makes connections (frequently) in the chat with what we’re talking about to the Law/Criminal Justice Pathway…for example:  she shared how law enforcement and detectives must make inferences daily…and how attorneys and justices must be EXTRA careful readers.

We congratulate all our December Students of the Month for their outstanding achievements! Their dedication, hard work, and positive contributions to our school community are a testament to the bright future ahead of them.
