How to Enroll

Join Our Community

We can’t wait to start learning with you! Follow the steps below to enroll.

Step 1: (Deadline: April 30th at 4:00pm CST)

Digitally complete an Open Enrollment Application via the Wisconsin Department of Public Education’s website.

Step 2: (Early June)

Wisconsin Virtual Academies will send notices of approval or denial via US mail and email. If approved to open enroll, that letter will contain instructions on how to complete enrollment. If denied, that decision is valid for the entire 2025-2026 school year, and cannot be appealed.

Step 3:

If approved to open enroll, families will complete enrollment via the K12 Enrollment Portal.

Step 2:

Review of Open Enrollment Alternative Applications can take up to 20 days. Families will receive an email and a letter via postal mail indicating if their application is approved or denied. If approved, the letter will include the next steps for enrolling.

*Most applicants meet the exceptions outlined by the Department of Public Instruction policy.
