Stories & Spotlights

Destinations Career Academy is thrilled to announce our November Students of the Month, selected by our dedicated school administration and teachers. These exceptional individuals have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, positive contributions to their pathways, and a strong commitment to their education.

Agriculture & Natural Resources Pathway: Arcane Terrell – 12th Grade

We are thrilled to announce Arcane Terrell as the Agriculture & Natural Resource Pathway November Student of the Month! Arcane has consistently gone above and beyond in his classes, contributing thoughtfully and delivering outstanding work. His dedication to his schoolwork is evident in both his participation and the quality of his assignments. Arcane’s growth as a student at DCA has been amazing! He has set a high standard and serves as a positive role model for his peers. Please join us in congratulating Arcane on this well-deserved recognition!

Business Management & Administration Pathway: Emerson Dominie – 11th Grade

Emerson has chosen to pursue the business pathway at DCA to help her gain skills for a career in graphic or interior design. She is a dedicated and hardworking student who consistently strives for excellence in her work. To kick off her college journey, Emerson has enrolled in dual credit courses, and she is preparing this year for an Advanced Placement exam. She plans to take additional college-level courses to get a head start on earning college credits. Emerson is also a member of our National Technical Honor Society. Congratulations to Emerson Dominie!

Construction & Engineering Pathway: Justin Cohrs – 12th Grade

Justin is one of our early graduates this year who has been highly motivated to finish high school on a strong note. Justin is most proud of his work ethic this year as he didn’t always care about his academics. He feels that he is a self-directed, independent learner, and does not need much guidance once he knows what the expectations are.  His plan post-high school is to join the local 139 and begin his apprenticeship to become a heavy equipment operator.

Health Sciences Pathway: Logan Howard – 10th Grade

Logahn is a true ray of sunshine! She comes to every class and homeroom with a positive and ready-to-learn attitude that is infectious. She is great at participating and is always willing to go on the mic. Her presence is encouraging, caring, and considerate. Logahn is also a great student, always caring and working hard in her courses. Thanks for making us always smile Logahn!

Information Technology Pathway: Maddy Sturman – 11th Grade

Maddy Sturman is a remarkable student who consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to both her academic success and personal growth. She is an advocate for herself, always seeking opportunities to improve and asking thoughtful questions in class. In addition to excelling in all coursework, Maddy is eager to share her knowledge with peers, creating a collaborative learning environment. As an active member of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), she displays leadership, responsibility, and a passion for helping others succeed. Maddy is truly deserving of the Student of the Month recognition for her hard work, dedication, and positive impact in and out of the classroom.

Law & Criminal Justice Pathway: Kim Cavazos – 11th Grade

Kim has been a dedicated law pathway student, who has used her skills at self-advocacy to truly take charge of her education. She will be graduating at the end of this year, as a junior—a full year early! She is managing heavy course loads and is excelling in her classes this semester. When things get too heavy, Kim is able to organize herself to get caught up while consistently producing quality work.

We congratulate all of our November Students of the Month for their outstanding achievements! Their dedication, hard work, and positive contributions to our school community are a testament to the bright future ahead of them.
